＜TOQUE＞Royal Baby Alpaca Needle Punch Smooth 2-Way Long T-Shirt

This innerwear series, popular even within TOQUE, is made from 100% royal baby alpaca. It uses specially spun fine-gauge royal baby alpaca yarn from Towa Kamoori in Aichi Prefecture, famous for its alpaca yarn production. The fabric is knitted in a factory in Saitama Prefecture on 40-50 year old German TERROT knitting machines, of which very few are still in existence and in use. These machines are adept at slowly knitting delicate fabrics, and the factory artisans have carefully maintained them over the years.

Royal baby alpaca yarn is extremely delicate, and if the knitting machine speed is increased, the fabric can tear or become damaged. Therefore, by taking three times longer to knit than cotton yarn, a fabric that is "warm, light, and soft" is created. Furthermore, to bring out the unique texture of alpaca without damaging the fabric, natural drying is preferred over tumble drying, which would save time. This meticulous approach results in a supremely fluffy texture. Because the fabric is loosely knitted to preserve this texture, it has a slightly sheer appearance.

Considering direct contact with the skin, the seams are placed on the inside to reduce irritation, minimizing discomfort from the seams. The fabric is also stretchy, providing a comfortable fit with minimal constriction, so much so that you might forget you're wearing it. Yet, it's warm, making it a versatile cut-and-sew piece that can be worn alone or as an inner layer.

"TOQUE" means "touch" in Spanish. We pursue comfort that makes the skin happy and relaxes both mind and body. We offer simple tops and dresses that are not influenced by trends, using only carefully selected natural fibers. All processes, including spinning, knitting, dyeing, and sewing, are carried out in domestic factories. We also pay close attention to the fact that it can be easily hand-washed at home, creating products that allow you to enjoy the感動 and comfort of wearing them daily and for a long time.

Started in AW2024 by stylist Naoko Okusa. A brand like a magazine content that captures the mood of the moment and expresses it as a new style. The brand name "NO.b" combines "NO," the initials of Naoko Okusa, the publisher (director), and "b" from Okusa's favorites: "book, beer, black, beach." We aim to be a brand full of surprise and joy "every issue," reflecting the real-life experiences of busy individuals, the excitement of proposing slightly ahead-of-the-curve styles, and the atmosphere of the times. This second collection features "black" as its theme.
